Anyone who has owned a pet can attest to the fact that animals all have a distinct personality. My cat, Whiskers, was one of those pets that becomes like a close friend. When he passed away last winter after a run-in with a coyote, I wanted a way to honor his memory.
Because Whiskers held such a dear place in my heart, I didn’t want to simply bury him in the backyard. Instead, I opted to give him a proper burial by adorning his grave with a headstone. There are many tasteful options for pet memorials today that honor your pet and usher them into the afterlife.
