I know the name is kind of a cliché, but I named my cat Mittens because of her delightful white paws. Mittens and I loved to spend time in our backyard garden, where she would lie in the shade under the willow trees while I worked planting, pruning, and watering. Mittens and I shared almost fifteen wonderful years together, when her age abruptly caught up with her. When Mittens passed, I felt more than a little lost, and I knew that preserving her memory would be important. I looked around for pet memorials, and found a pet memorial stone at an online website. The stone was perfect; it was tasteful and it would go well sitting under the willow trees where Mittens loved to spend her time lounging.
The pet memorial stone now contains the ashes of Mittens and rests under the roots of the willow trees in my garden. Whenever I look in that direction, I’m reminded of my favorite furry friend and all the fun times we shared together in the garden. It’s a great feeling, and I think pet memorials are excellent options for owners who want to remember their pets.
